Autumn in the White Mountains - a Glorious month. The temps are Divine - warm days, nippy nights. The leaves are changing colors - 3rd & 4th weeks of October are our favorites. A great time for fishing, hiking, horseback riding. The lift at Sunrise, which takes you to top of the mountain, is open weekends.
Welcome to Spring Hill. High atop the magnificent White Mountains in the towns of Pinetop-Lakeside and Show Low, we offer cabins and private country homes to rent for your vacation getaway. Our rentals are situated in 3 different locations.
Cozy Cabin (2-4 guests), Wee Like It (2 guests), Vermont (2-10 guests) are located on our property where we have private lake frontage at the south end of Rainbow Lake, one mile from the highway. We invite you to enjoy the beauty of the lake. Migratory ducks stop to rest in Spring and Fall, Bald Eagle hunt on the lake and resident ducks and geese raise their babies. Be sure to bring your binoculars.
Barn House (up to 22 guests) - a 4900 SF house on 1 acre is great for large family or group gatherings. Located 200 feet from the north end of Rainbow Lake, a 2 minute walk to public lake access. You can fish off the dock or dam and rent a boat nearby. Our guests love sitting under the big trees and playing lawn games. We have a few horses at the rear of the property. The children love feeding the horses carrots. Ginger Pear - Apple Pear - when the BIG house is not rented we can split the house into 2 separate 2 bdrm, 1 bath units for rent. Each unit has it's own private patio garden.
The Ranch (2-12 guests), - a 9 acre working ranch located in Show Low overlooking the beautiful valley where horses and cattle graze. The town of Show Low is on the other side of the valley. Shopping and restaurants are nearby. Our guests enjoy the privacy of this location and the children love feeding and petting the friendly horses. The slide and swing are fun for the children also. Fishing lakes are nearby.
Largest Stand of Ponderosa Pine In The World. The White Mountains are located in northeastern Arizona, about a 3 - 3 1/2 hour drive from Phoenix or Tucson. The mountain communities offer a variety of year-round adventures for the entire family.
Plan A Summer/Autumn Day. Enjoy clean mountain air, spectacular views and seasonal changes. Fish from one of 40 lakes, all within 40 miles. Find the "best fishing hole" and come home with the "Big" one. Choose from one of 200 miles of interpretive loop trails to hike, mountain bike or horseback ride. Take a driving tour in the higher elevations to enjoy the glorious Indian Summer of late September-October. All summer and through late September there are many festivals and music concerts. Golf, tennis, volleyball, local fitness centers and more afford plenty to do for everyone.
Winter is a Fun Time in the White Mountains. Sunrise Ski Park offers three mountains, eleven lifts and over sixty trails for downhill skiers and snowboarders. Enjoy cross country skiing, tubing, sledding, horseback riding and sleigh rides. There are events scheduled throughout the winter months. For those seeking a less strenuous getaway, venture out and indulge in one of many local restaurants, explore antique stops and museums.
